It’s always a joy to receive a project for a new business venture, especially when the subject matter feels so close to home. 

As someone who loves the outdoors, I was super excited when Ryan got in touch in need of a brand for his landscape photography business.

With Ryan’s photography mainly taking place in Scotland, we decided to base the core of the identity around the iconic Lagangarbh Hut. 

Famous in both the mountaineering and photography worlds for its remote position in the Glencoe Highlands, “the Wee White House” is widely recognised as a true symbol of the Scottish Wilderness. A perfect icon then, to represent Ryan’s landscape photography venture. 

After plenty of exploration, we collaborated through several logo iterations. Openly sharing thoughts and ideas until finally we found a direction that felt unique to Ryan’s practice. 

Simple yet full of character, the branding was able to elevate Ryan’s photography without stealing the spotlight.
